We had such a great time learning and exploring London with Phil.

He designed a full week of activities across London's museums and iconic landmarks, making every day engaging, educational and fun.

My nephew and niece, aged 11 and 13, loved their tours and lessons. Knowing that my niece is a huge manga fan, Phil even found a manga workshop and signed us up for it. It's these little personal touches that really make Phil stand out and show how personalised his approach is.

I highly recommend Your London Tutor, whether you're looking for English lessons or private tours in London. We are already thinking about booking another week with Phil next year.

Thank you again, Phil!

Phil is an extraordinary English teacher, both from a professional and a human perspective. He has been giving English lessons to my daughter Sara, who is now 16, since she was 7 years old, though not continuously. Over this past year, he prepared Sara for the IELTS exam, and she achieved a score of 7.5, which is equivalent to a C1 level. Sara has always been enthusiastic about her lessons with him: when she was a child, he taught her English in a playful and engaging way, never dwelling too much on grammar rules but allowing her to learn the language naturally. Every time Sara finished a lesson, she was always beaming and full of excitement. I highly recommend Phil to everyone; I am also a foreign language teacher myself, but I can say with absolute certainty that the results I have seen with my daughter are amazing.

I would like to sincerely thank you as my English teacher because, thanks to your support, I can now confidently say that I speak English.

From the very beginning, your teaching style has made a significant difference in my learning journey. I especially want to highlight your patience, which has been constant throughout the process, always ensuring that every concept is understood without pressure and at a pace that works for me.

Another aspect I truly value is your ability to teach. You have a real talent for explaining complex ideas in a simple and accessible way, and for making every class engaging and
enjoyable. Your way of structuring lessons makes learning feel natural and pleasant, rather than difficult or forced.

Overall, your dedication, professionalism, and passion for teaching have had a direct impact on my progress. I am genuinely grateful for everything I have learned and for the confidence I have gained when using English in real situations.

P.S. And for having a great friend in the UK!🇬🇧🇪🇸

Thank you for your excellent work and commitment, Phil ❤️

I’m leaving these classes having achieved one of my most ambitious goals: making peace with English. After years of studying it in a traditional way, with textbook exercises that didn’t allow me to speak fluently, today I can say that I’ve fallen in love with the language and that I’m no longer afraid to use it.

In addition, I’ve gained something just as important: confidence in myself. I’ve left my shyness behind and now I’m able to communicate in English even in front of few people.

My experience with Phil has been a REAL discovery. He is a teacher who truly gets involved and adapts the learning process to what you need. In my case, we found a very special synergy: speaking English stopped being an obligation and became a natural and fun space, where I could communicate as I would in my native language, talking about real and interesting topics, far from the typical textbook situations.

And that’s what learning a language is really about. This way of teaching is what makes him a different and disruptive teacher. To achieve this, empathy, patience, passion, closeness, and love for what you do are needed—qualities that Phil has in abundance.

I learned to have confidence in myself, to put aside my shyness, and to communicate with native speakers. In my case, English is essential to develop my professional career, particularly in the company where I work, and thanks to him, I’m making it possible.

All I have to say is THANK YOU (and even that feels not enough), and that I will be eternally grateful.

I took some writing and speaking lessons for the IELTS with Heather and I highly recommend it. She was very professional; her feedback was valuable and practical, helping me quickly improve my English skills; and surprisingly classes were really fun which helped reduce my stress levels. Highly recommended!

I can’t recommend Phil enough!
He is an amazing teacher and fantastic pronunciation coach. I had been looking for someone who could help me improve my pronunciation, intonation and public speaking skills and when I started working with Phil I knew straight away he was the one who could help me: Phil is very knowledgeable in terms of phonetics, phonemic and has amazing teaching techniques to help correct years of wrong pronunciation. He’s helped me with my public speaking and gave me loads of confidence in my ability to deliver a message in a fun and effective way.

He’s great fun to work with too :)

Right from the first class, I noticed Phil's teaching method would be exceptional. He created a personalized learning plan uniquely suited to my strengths, weaknesses, and preferences. His ability to identify and address my individual needs set the stage for an effective and meaningful learning journey. Every lesson was enjoyable and intellectually stimulating.
Phil's excellent communication skills were evident in the way he articulated ideas and promoted open discussions. He attentively listened to my questions and concerns, creating a safe and supportive atmosphere where I felt comfortable expressing myself. His constructive feedback on my spoken English helped me improve and refine my language skills with every session.
Phil's adaptability to my learning needs impressed me most during our one-to-one lessons. He seamlessly adjusted the course content and teaching methods based on my progress, ensuring our sessions remained engaging and relevant. His flexibility in accommodating schedule changes and unexpected commitments showed his genuine commitment to my success.
Besides imparting technical English skills, Phil played a significant role in boosting my self-confidence. His belief in my abilities and consistent encouragement gave me the courage to take risks and significantly improve my language skills. With his guidance and support, I was motivated to push myself and embrace the challenges of speaking English.
Phil's approachability and willingness to offer extra help outside of class made a tangible difference in my learning. His dedication to my progress did not end with our sessions; he encouraged and invested in my long-term success.
Taking classes with Phil was one of my most rewarding and worthwhile choices.

I can recommend Phil’s classes to anyone!
I came to Phil having a good level of English , but I struggled with typical grammar mistakes and incorrect pronunciation. That’s why I needed not just a teacher, but a language professional who can help me to correct my old habits.
I have made huge progress in my English speaking skills since I began classes with Phil about 6 months ago.
I achieved my target, and now I often get compliments from friends and colleagues about my English.
Huge thanks to Phil for finding an individual approach to teaching me and for being such a kind person!
