Who is Phil?
Phil Hatcher has been a CELTA-qualified English teacher for over 20 years.
After gaining experience teaching in schools and businesses throughout South America and the UK, Phil set up his own company in London in 2013, offering dedicated one-to-one tuition.
He has taught adults and children from various nationalities at all levels from Beginner to Proficiency and prepares students for Cambridge exams such as First Certificate, Advanced, Proficiency and IELTS. He also provides accent reduction classes and teaches Business English. His clients have included HSBC, Unilever, BP, JP Morgan and Nike executives, among others.
Being a Londoner, Phil has extensive knowledge of his home city and a passion for sharing it! He is a keen photographer with a curiosity for discovering new places, which takes him all over the city, getting to know it in a way that tourists and most locals never get to see it.
Who is Tim?
Tim really enjoys teaching, and his main aim is to bring out the best in his students in a fun and engaging learning environment. His goal in each class is to encourage students to talk as much as possible to increase their fluency, whilst he provides clear explanations whenever necessary.
He is a qualified native English teacher, has a bachelors degree in accountancy, a masters in documentary film and is a qualified Certified Chartered Accountant.
Tim has seven years teaching experience and 16 years working in the corporate sector as an auditor and risk manager. He uses his professional background to deliver Business English classes that help students to succeed at work.
In Tim’s free time, he enjoys yoga, playing football, learning Spanish and photography. He is looking forward to meeting you!
Who is Heather?
Heather is a fun, friendly Canadian ESL teacher with over ten years of experience.
She completed a bachelor’s degree in English and German from Mount Allison University in 2009 and began her teaching career in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Since 2010, Heather has taught in South Korea, Hungary, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, and England. She’s taught children (from beginner to advanced), adult English (from A0-C1), business English, IELTS and CAE/FCE preparation classes and accent reduction with a focus on North American pronunciation. She has been working as an IELTS speaking examiner for over three years.
Heather has recently completed her Trinity DipTESOL and specialises in digital learning. Working for companies like the British Council and International House, she has trained teachers on teaching pronunciation, learning through play, and diversity in the classroom.
